Lens is a live debate coach. This page describes exactly what we collect, what we don't, and what you can delete. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Audio is never stored
While a debate is running, short segments of microphone audio are sent to our transcription provider, converted to text, and discarded immediately. We do not keep, buffer, or archive recordings. Nothing you say exists as audio once the sentence is transcribed.
Voice separation is not a voiceprint
If you turn on auto-detect voices, Lens works out which voice in the room is yours so it can label the transcript without you holding a key. It does this by listening to the first few seconds of the debate and noticing which speaker that is — then it remembers a single number for the rest of the round.
We do not create a voiceprint, a biometric template, or any model of how you sound. Nothing about your voice is written to our database or carried between debates. The match is held in your browser's memory and ceases to exist when you close the tab. Audio is handled exactly as described above: transcribed, then discarded. Turning the feature off changes nothing about what is stored, because nothing was stored.
What we do store
- Your account — email address, username, sign-in method, and the date you joined.
- Your debates — the text transcript, the topic, your side, coach responses, and any review or score. These are saved so your sessions follow you across devices. You can delete any of them at any time.
- Usage records — for each request: which model ran, how many tokens it used, and what it cost. We use this to run the service and understand capacity. It contains no debate content.
- Billing — handled entirely by Stripe. We store a customer reference and your plan. We never see or store your card details.
Passwords
There aren't any. Sign-in uses a one-time code emailed to you, or Google. We have no password database, so there is no password of yours to leak.
Who else sees your text
Debate text is sent to our AI providers (OpenAI and, on the Vector plan, Anthropic) solely to generate your coaching in real time. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used by us to train models. If you build an opponent dossier, the link and any transcript you paste are sent for that purpose only.
Your debates are not public
Nothing you write or say inside Lens is published, listed, or made searchable. Every logged-in page carries a noindex directive and is blocked in robots.txt, so search engines do not crawl the product.
Deleting everything
Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account. We email a confirmation code, and on confirmation we erase your account record, every saved debate, your usage history, and any redemptions — permanently, in one operation. It is not a soft delete and there is nothing to restore afterwards.
Cookies
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Your sign-in token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in, and is removed when you sign out.
